Tuesday 8am – 1pm
The Grammy Museum is an educational and interactive music space in downtown Los Angeles committed to engaging children and adults in the power of music – through permanent and temporary exhibits, interactive experiences, workshops and performances regarding all musical genres. Our mission is to explore and celebrate the enduring legacies of all forms of music; the creative process; the art and technology of recording process; and the history of the Grammy Awards, the premier recognition of recorded music accomplishment.
This semester we will explore the redesign of the Grammy Museum Lobby. This is an actual Project that will redefine the arrival experience for visitors at this outstanding music venue.
Although established four years ago, the Grammy Museum has accomplished so much in this short amount of time. When the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences began a collaboration with the Anschutz Entertainment Group to create this museum, we imagined a space where music could come to life for children and adults alike; a space where our musical history as a nation could be explored by our entire community; where music lovers could get closer to their favorite artists and understand their creative process and inspirations; and where the extraordinary achievements of Grammy-Award winners could be celebrated year-round.
