3D Print| Week Nine
A 3D Printed Cage for Little Boba Fett as he watches a real laser cutting demo.
Weaving | Week Seven
Assignment using the Apply CRV command, oh then of course…build it.
Develop a form based on a previously learned technique and build it.
So I used the stacking technique to build R2D2, however, as I was looking at the negative space left in the stacked cardboard after removing the little guy (see image), it reminded me of Bibo’s house (you know, from the Hobbit, if not you need to culture yourself) which was more interesting as a form. So I took apart R2D2 and used his parts to create this spatial study. I figured it was fitting to have Star Wars characters duke it out.
CNC | Week Six
Find an image of inspiration, model it, make it. A recent trip to Palm Springs proved to be much inspiration with the calm cool layers of the mountains vs. the warm scraps of rust hidden away in the desert.
Folding Paper (and lots of it) | Week Four
Folded – Used as a vessel of escape for Boba Fett
Now Build that Field Condition | Week Two
Something about abandoned tires in a desert is inspiring. The textures here inspired the form below.
Field Conditions | Week One
Assignment | Exploring the world outside and documenting textures, and moments that have somewhat of a rule to them with the ability to expand…somehow.
