DP 02 Deliverables for final review

  3. 1 Exploded axonometric, which explain construction of the piece
  4. 1 Plan + 1 Section dwgs @ 1/4″ = 1′-0″
  5. 1/4″=1′ model, perfectly translated from your digital model
  6. Detail model (scale varies)

DP 02 Grading

Please upload all of the assignments on your page of the website by MIDNIGHT of August 17th.  No late submission will be accepted.  Make sure each assignment is titled corresponding assignment titles.  Grading for DP02 will be based strictly on the works on the website.  Completion of 80% of the assignment is required for passing the class.  For all drawings, please save as .jpg format and upload.  PDF format will not be reviewed.

 

Assignment 1.1     Field Images

Collect 10 images that represent Allen’s field condition.  Do not google image.  Go out and take photos by yourself.  Upload those 10 images to the site.

 Assignment 1.2     Render and upload exercise models.

Assignment 2.0     Cardboard stack model – rendering

Model a 10x4x10″ form based on inspiration from one of your field images.  Render 2+views and upload images to your page.

Create cardboard stuck model from Assignment 2.0 model.  Bring the model to next class.  Take 2+ photos of the model and upload images to your page.

Assignment 3.0     Honeycomb model – rendering

Model a 10×10″ grid honeycomb form.  Render 2+views and upload images to your page.

Create museum board folding model.  Bring the model to next class.  Take 2+ photos of the model and upload images to your page.

 Assignment 4.0     CNC model – rendering

Model a 10x10x2″ T-Splines smooth form based on your field image.  Render 2+views and upload images to your page.

Create foam-milling model.  Bring the model to next class.  Take 2+ photos of the model and upload images to your page.

Assignment 5.0     Weaving model

Create a model of Weaving structure.  Material can be museum board.  Post pictures of the model on the website.

Faceted model.  Lasercut Pepakura model on museum board and built

Assignment 9.0     3D print

From your current ENV 2 design, find a part that is appropriate to be printed:

Assignment 9.2     Sun simulation diagram

Create a sun simulation diagram for your project.

Assignment 10.0   Halftone model

Laser-cut halftone pattern on 1/8″ plexiglass @10”x10”.  Vacum-form the cut pattern into some kind of surface.  Bring the model to next class.  Take 2+ photos of the model and upload images to your page.
